Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." Norman Cousins

A little piece of me died when my friend Margaret passed away 2 years ago on 2/12. We met in the 6th grade - she was the new girl and we were inseperable causing much mayhem thru junior high and high school. I ended up marrying her uncle and I became her 'Anut'.
She left behind 5 beautiful girls - my grand nieces who I have much fun telling them that I am their GREAT Anut.
Margaret watched my son 1-2 days a week when he was a toddler so my husband and I could go to work - and I always appreciated it - knowing Steven was safe.
This picture was taken the summer before she passed. Surprisingly, before this I had no pictures of us together.
Anyway, this post is for Margaret. I miss you.

  2. They say you can't pick your relatives, but in this case, you and Margaret picked each other as friends first. How lucky for both of you to have shared such a special relationship.
