Then He Kissed Me... Love Song Tuesday

Like my Quotes by Famous Women series, I also had a Love Song series - I think its time that it too made a comeback! The inspiration for that thought came when I was driving home and Then He Kissed Me played on the radio. I love this song and sang along in my car. It is so pure and captures the importance of the kiss!

Then He Kissed Me is an oldie and a goodie!

Song 4 - Sean and Kelsey's playlist...

When I write I usually listen to classical music but when I'm thinking about my story or more accurately about the couple in my story, I listen to songs that remind me of them.

Song 4 on Kelsey and Sean's playlist is This Love by Taylor Swift. There is no You-Tube video, but you can list to a sample of the sone on iTunes here...

This Love on iTunes

I think the opening lines of the song just grab you. Maybe, because Summer Dreaming setting is the beach. Whenever I hear this song I will forever think of Kelsey and Sean!

Clear blue water, high tides came
And brought you in
And I could go on and on, on and on
And I will

Bright - Song 2 on Kelsey and Sean's Playlist

When I write I usually listen to classical music but when I'm thinking about my story or more accurately about the couple in my story, I listen to songs that remind me of them.

Song 2 from Kelsey and Sean's 'Playlist' is Bright by Echosmith... its young , fresh, and sweet (except the love scenes-lol) like Summer Dreaming coming August 4, 2015.

Love Me Like You Mean It

When I write I usually listen to classical music but when I'm thinking about my story or more accurately about the couple in my story, I listen to songs that remind me of them.

Song 1 from Kelsey and Sean's 'Playlist' is Love Me Like You Mean It. The singer and her love interest in the music video remind me of my couple in Summer Dreaming - releasing August 4, 2015.

Do you like when an author gives you a playlist of their book?

This Kiss...

This Kiss by Faith Hill is one of those songs I listen to before I write a first kiss scene.

It's in his kiss....

If you read some of my past blog posts you'll know how much I love reading and writing those first kiss scenes in romance novels. (and that Playing For Keeps won the NECRWA First Kiss Contest). So here is a cute song about the kiss...

Love Songs - Part 5 - Have You Ever Loved a Woman

Love songs are like a mini romance novel or a slice of one. As a romance author I'm probably I bigger sucker than most when it come to love songs. I'll be posting my favorites along with my favorite line from each. Part 5 is: Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman

My favorite line: And when you see your unborn children in her eyes; you know you really love a woman ...

Do you like the song? Have a favorite line?
I don't think the video does the song justice.

I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden

Part 4 of My Favorite Love Songs.

I'm a sucker for a good love song. I guess most people are but as a writer of romantic fiction they are a source of inspiration. I Knew I Loved by Savage Garden is one of those. A beautiful melody and lyrics to sigh over. Here are the lyrics to my favorite part of the song...

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only this sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my way home

Click to hear the song.

Without music life would be a mistake. ~Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

Love Songs - Part 2
Love songs can be like a mini romance novel or slice of one.

My favorite genre of music is rock and hard rock. We're taking AC/DC, Guns&Rose, Springsteen-and on and on.

But I'm a sucker for a good love song. This is #2 in my series.

Swaying to the Music by Johnny Rivers is one of my favorites - it is so romantic! There is no music video since it was recorded before MTV so I choose this montage from Moonlight - still so heartbroken that the series was canceled but at least Alex O'Loughlin is looking hot in Hawaii 5-0

"Just livin' our love song...."

Love songs can be like a mini romance novel. They can touch ours hearts. Leave us open to love.

It may be hard to believe that my favorite genre of music is rock and hard rock. We're taking AC/DC, Guns&Rose, Springsteen-and on and on.

But I'm a sucker for a good love song. So I plan to share some of my favorites in the coming weeks. I like this one because it happens 10 years after the 'happily ever after'.

But the singer really needs to lose the 'thing' underneath his chin.
